Moules frites  

During the months September, October, November, December, January, February, March and April, you will find everywhere in Belgium the Famous "Moules Frites".

The Moules are coocked in their own seewater contained in their coquilles. They can be served in different ways, they are always accompanied by French fries.

 
Boudin, compote, purée  
An other one is the boudin, compote purée  
Waterzooi  
The well known Waterzooi, is done by boiling chicken parts in a soup with vegetables and potatoes.  
Tart al djot  
The well known tart al djot from Nivelles, looks like a pizza and is covered by some special cheese and blettes  
Lapin a la geuze  
this is a plate with some lapin which is placed during 24 hours in geuze which is a special beer
